How a Hobby can turn into a Lifestyle
My life’s journey has taken me through many tribulations and some triumphs. During it all I have learned many things, which have brought me to where I am today. I have met some interesting and some well-known people along the way. Most of my past jobs were basic but held lots of responsibilities, some gave me lots of opportunities and perks. I had lots of part-time jobs, a few businesses and some crazy side hustles. They all barely kept up with the bills as I raised 5 kids. But I was always on the grind and was always looking for the next big thing. Reading, Photography, Interior Design and Long Walks were always things I enjoyed. I love going to the library, I always looked for a big Library when I moved into a new area. I worked in the school library in High School, I thought I wanted to be a Librarian when I grew up. My favorite thing to do is take pictures, LOL! but I hate being photographed. I bought my first camera when I was about 12, with blue chip stamps. Interior design has always been my passion, I decorated my place no matter how large or small. I went to college for interior design but was not able to complete more than one semester, because of other life commitments.
I occasionally get out and do a short walk these days. Now that I have gotten older, I’m looking for more relaxing things to do. About 10 years ago, when I thought I would be able to retire, I started looking for hobbies. I took classes in Floral Arrangements, quilting, graphic design, and photography. All of these things were fun, expensive, and not something I could sit in a rocking chair on the porch and do. Then one day completely by accident I found Loom Knitting and my journey began.
I finally found a way to #staybusy.
